Navigation Intelligence

Navigation apps that collect proprietary venue data

Our consumer apps help guests navigate theme parks and casinos — while passively generating timing datasets that don't exist anywhere else. The apps are live. The data is growing. And it's available for licensing.

How it works

Consumer apps that double as data-collection infrastructure.

1

Build apps people love

Navigation tools that solve real frustration for theme park and casino guests.

2

Collect proprietary data

Checkpoint systems passively capture timing, congestion, and reliability metrics.

3

License the data

Travel platforms, venue operators, and enterprise clients get datasets that don't exist elsewhere.

Why Compass Platforms

Data that doesn't exist elsewhere

No public dataset captures empirical timing data for venue transportation systems. Disney doesn't share it. Google Maps can't measure it. We generate it through passive checkpoint collection from real users navigating real venues.

What We Capture
Actual wait times by mode, route, time of day, and season
Real transfer timing at transit hubs
Surge patterns around venue open/close
Weather impact on transportation reliability
Event-driven anomalies and special conditions
For Enterprise Partners

What partners actually get

Deliverables

Timing data API access, graph-based routing engine, venue-specific datasets with confidence intervals, and ongoing data updates as collection scales.

Who it's for

Travel platforms, venue operators, and hospitality brands that need empirical movement data their users can't get from Google Maps or static schedules.

How engagement starts

A short conversation about your use case, followed by a scoped proposal. No long sales cycle — we move quickly with partners who have clear needs.

Graph-Based Routing

Nodes represent locations—attractions, restaurants, transit hubs, hotels. Edges represent connections with time estimates, transport modes, and reliability scores. Only routes that physically exist make it into the graph.

Time Modeling

Base times adjusted for time-of-day, weather, crowds, and special events. We provide confidence intervals rather than false precision—"~25 min" not "24:37". Machine learning refinement improves with every checkpoint.

Checkpoint System

GPS-triggered prompts ask users to confirm arrivals. Passive data collection builds our timing dataset. Privacy-safe aggregation means no individual tracking—only patterns emerge from the data.

Route Scoring

Three route types only: Fastest, Least Walking, Scenic. We make decisions, not present endless options. Every recommendation comes with an explanation for why that route wins.

Foundational principles

These aren't just guidelines—they're the rules that make our data trustworthy.

01

Transportation decision engine, not navigation app

We answer "should I take the bus or Skyliner?" not "turn left in 200 feet."

02

GPS-first, human-confirmable

Automated tracking with optional user verification.

03

Physics-first routing

Only routes that physically exist appear in recommendations.

04

Walking is a connector, not a route

We optimize for transportation decisions, not pedestrian navigation.

05

Time estimates are rounded

Honest confidence intervals beat false precision.

06

Never monetize the moment of stress

User trust comes before short-term revenue.

The Problem

Disney World's transportation system spans 25,000 acres with buses, monorails, boats, Skyliner gondolas, and walking paths. Guests don't know which option is fastest, most reliable, or least exhausting. Nothing else solves this.

Our Solution

A transportation decision engine that recommends how to get between any two Disney locations and explains why.

Key Features
Multi-modal transportation routing
Real-time reliability scoring
Weather and crowd adjustments
Checkpoint-based learning
Three route types: Fastest, Least Walking, Scenic
Target Markets

Walt Disney World (initial), expandable to other theme parks

The Problem

Casino resorts are intentionally disorienting. Guests waste time lost in massive properties, miss reservations, and experience unnecessary stress navigating between hotels, casino floors, restaurants, shows, and pools.

Our Solution

Indoor wayfinding with community-maintained maps. Users contribute to map accuracy while getting reliable navigation.

Key Features
Indoor positioning (GPS-weak environments)
Community-maintained maps
Cross-property navigation
Reservation and show integration
Rideshare coordination
Target Markets

Las Vegas, Atlantic City, Macau, Singapore

Origin

After years of experiencing the disorientation of casino resorts firsthand, and hearing the same frustration from countless others, the question became obvious: why doesn't anything exist to solve this? Complex venues like theme parks and casinos have sprawling, multi-modal transportation systems, but no reliable decision layer to help guests move through them efficiently.

The insight wasn't technical. It was experiential. And that perspective shaped everything about how the company builds products: around real user frustration, not theoretical optimization.

The Company

Compass Platforms is a bootstrapped, Florida-based technology company. It was built from the ground up with the same approach that produced a successful healthcare practice over 13 years: build systems, manage operations, and serve real people. That foundation informs how Compass Platforms operates today. Lean, deliberate, and focused on creating genuine value before scaling.

Today, the company operates two live consumer apps, Theme Park Compass and Casino Compass, while developing the B2B data licensing infrastructure that turns user-contributed navigation data into enterprise-grade intelligence.
